H.L. Scottie Hendrix II is a native of Savannah, and his practice focuses in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, general business, and transactional law. Prior to joining WSWGS, Mr. Hendrix clerked for the Honorable Doyet A. (Jack) Early, III in Bamberg, South Carolina.
Mr. Hendrix received his B.B.A. in Real Estate from the University of Georgia in 2004. Subsequent to graduating from the University of Georgia, Mr. Hendrix was employed at the United States Army Corps of Engineers ("USACE"), where he resolved real property and contract related disputes. Mr. Hendrix left USACE in 2011 to join Norfolk Southern Railway ("NS"), where he was responsible for drafting and reviewing real estate contracts, and for negotiating the purchase, sale, and lease of NSâ€™s industrial, commercial, residential, and agricultural property interests in Georgia, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hendrix is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the State Bar of Georgia, and received his J.D., cum laude, from the Charleston School of Law in 2016. While in law school Mr. Hendrix interned at the South Carolina Supreme Court for Justice Kaye G. Hearn, and later with Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. Mr. Hendrix was also selected to be a Writing Fellow within the Legal Writing Department, served on the Federal Courts Law Review Editorial Board, and was elected Chairman of the Honor Council. Mr. Hendrix is a Freemason, and a member of the Alee Temple Shriners and Keystone Kops.
